This little crop of rhubarb was there when we moved into this house 25 years ago. It appears fit and healthy every year protected by the low wall behind it ![]()
Really healthy looking rhubarb! Is it the Yorkshire kind?![]()
Those poly's a are great!

Healthy equates to Yorkshire?...hardy maybe
The roots of this rhubarb were planted at least 30 years ago so I reckon they must be Yorkshire by now![]()
You've given me an idea for a post
Hardy and Healthy! Delicious with home-made custard!
la_spice [Member] 21/03/09 @ 19:16
I'll grab my spoon
Let's make more than enough custard!
isadora101 [Member] 21/03/09 @ 21:29
You'd better make a bucketful then seeing as we all like it with custard...no lumps though please
Now you sound like the real Yorkshire Lass! Aye!

It has been a lovely first day of spring here in the north of England with all the buds and plants in the garden forcing through
MarikaSunSeeker [Member] 22/03/09 @ 01:05
The Rhubarb does look really healthy, no slugs or caterpillars munching the leaves yet!

The colour green in both pics looks so fresh and the polyanthus flowers are lovely, such a reliable plant for the Spring.
