Aye but it is OK to look at...
Similar to Dali's use of crutches to show emotional and psycological supports.

The hand above the head suggests an almost puppet on a string with no strings shown, futher showing a lack of control belief in everday affairs.

Interesting - except it was a foot growing out of the top of the head!

Under the foot then!

That was my initial thought too

modern totem...could be symbolic with feet on the head of the sacred being trodden underfoot...hmmm...that's only a very wild guess...LOL...GBHs...XXX

But the feet are pointing up!

Yup I know...that's why I said it was a very wild guess...HLOL...damned if I know what it means...can't see the point in making something that is meaningless but maybe the sculptor has explained somewhere what he/she intended...needs an explanation! :) GBHs...XX

It's got me puzzled - I tried to find out about it but couldn't :(

Perhaps I'll try and get the sculptor's name next time I'm there.

I liked it in a funny sort of way - but I wish I knew what it was supposed to represent!

So we went to Melbourne had a lovely lunch then walked round Melbourne Hall gardens. Weather perfect :))
