Saw these two statues at Melbourne.
What do you think of them? I know the photography is not very good the sun reflected off them.
However I was taken with the thought behind them.
Your pictures – all are welcome.

An image captured last Friday 26th September 2008 while on my holiday in Yorkshire. I spent all day chasing trains from one station to another but it was worth it. More will shortly be posted at www.lochnessimages.com

A collection of Cactus photos from Jardin Majorelle in Marrakesh.
Saw these just growing by a well used path at Melbourne Hall, there were lots of them.
Had a short time to look in on this churchyard in Lanark, Scotland.
Tombstones dating back so far that they are unreadable, spotted one from 1752, many much older.

A fortressin in the Draa vally...The haunting landscape was breathtaking!!
I rode my friend the camel across Draa and saw the most panoramic views....
My friend in this last photo deserved a well earned rest!!!
and saw lots of Canada Geese
I'll start from the bottom
and work my way upwards
Ah, there you are ![]()
The sun is so strong today, the periphery of the lake is baked hard.
This dragonfly seemed to be enjoying soaking up the rays.
Wedding Photography is my hobby so I will start here with photograph of wedding:
Tell me what do you think about it. Do you like colours and composition?
I hope these aren't getting boring...click the picture to enlarge it.
Cheers, Tom.

Goats in the trees.... Its quite a site!!!
The goats balance on the narrow branches of the Argan trees.
Why?......Simply to reach the argan berries...
The Argan Berries is about the best food a Tamri goat could imagine, after digesting the berries the goats leave behind manure. This is grinded and pressed.... The result Argan Oil...
Good for your health!!
(you just have to forget how it came to be!!!)
The beautiful Gardens are so colourful they really depict the stlye of Morroco!!!
I like this pic, taken by my lady friend at Strathaven Park, Scotland.
She has now entered it in to a photographic competition in South Lanarkshire.
A very quiet beach at Walton on the Naze, taken just three qweeks ago in one of the better days of summer
Take on my day trip to Walton on the Naze, a beautiful summers day, such a pitty the rest of the sumeer wasn't like this
These wonderful pictures were sent to me by my good friend Sherrie in Canada. They are the pictures that all photographers would like to take.
I hope these pictures make your day.

Taken on the beach on Sunday... the last day of summer

This from Labor Day when we went to the Park and the Zoo. My grandson was in a very playful mood. Everything seemed to go well

I know this was suppose to be a self portiart(can"t sp tonight) anyway it is one when everything was a mess including me. But, both of my babies are with me BA and Spooks. So this is titled One Raggedy Day in the life of Me

Here we see Dan just about to get a big surprise: the water is much deeper on the side he'd jumping towards.
*SPLASH*
Cheers, Tom.
Yup - just as I thought .......
............. much too heavy!
Spotted down my road earlier this week
All alone in a rather barren garden..a lone sunflower raises its little head proudly after braving the ravages of a miserable summer.
Ooops that should say jumping on Usky's bandwagon! ![]()
Here's looking at ewe!
AUTUMN LEAVES
Northern Spain, despite it's hot summers, can have very cold winters resulting in its autumn leave season happening about the same time as ours.
This was taken last week and as you can see a few leaves dotted about are becoming autumnal..I thought the rusty sculpture contrasted quite nicely ![]()

In case that tree's leaves aren't autumny enough, then here's a few from my path taken last year.
We were walking around a funfair before the day's fun and laughter had begun. I spotted two guys up high on the Big Wheel, they were changing /testing light bulbs I think.
I thought it was a task too far for my little digi camera but I took a couple of shots anyhow.

One fellow looked down at me and I waved...Thank goodness he didn't wave back![]()
I'm a bit of an amateur, but I just love taking photographs! So here are a few of my favourites.

For me it is a very limited time of the year for photos, maybe I don't look hard enough and I certainly don't live in a sunny place.
Trees in their Autumn colours can be beautiful and a great subject.
How about a little competition?
Massive virtual prizes.
Now it's your turn.
.......... for Happy28
Well three out of four's not bad!
For the background on this title see the comments on my previous post
............unfortunately, not my garden.
We usually drive of to one of the local Country Parks just to get out of the house for a while, these pics were taken in the hot house at Calder Glen park, East Kilbride.
This is a pill box at Walton on the Naze in Essex, during the last war this was on the cliff top, but due to erosion it now about 100m away from the base of the Cliff, it just shows how bad the rate of erosion is in this area
Damn, that bloody make up artist never arrived, nor did the hairdresser, never mind, I'm pressing on. The set for the photo has been delivered by the hire company and the back cloth has been hung.
The camera is perched on the three books and an old shoe box, check that the flash is on, a bloody nuisance as the lights were not delivered either, press the timer, and the camera falls over.
Get large lump of blue tack and press on to bottom of the camera, it sticks quite well, press timer, and the camera falls over, note for future, blue tack does not stick to glossy shoe boxes.
Get new box, still full of Weetabix.....
That reminds me, the only organic food that I have ever bought because it was cheaper than the normal stuff, and that's unusual, is Weetabix Organic, believe me, it tastes like you are eating straw.
Anyway, the camera sticks to the matt finish of the box, press timer, fall over the cat and say f......laming hell.
Pick up camera and hold at arms length, click button, done.
Pity that the flash didn't work.
"Rosie and Jim, Rosie and Jim
Chugging along on the old Ragdoll
Rosie and Jim, Rosie and Jim
and John he steers the boat"
These pics were taken with a KODAK CX7430 ZOOM DIGITAL CAMERA and retrieved off of a crashed laptop, hence the camera details given as a Impak Film Scanner. Considering how they have been 'mucked about' I'm quite pleased with the results. Please click to enlarge
The creator of the bike, Millwright Johny Sinclair, seen with the Penny Farthing in Dingwall today. He told me that 100 years ago a cyclist with a similar machine had travelled from Land's End to John O'Groats covering 60 miles per day. The roads would have been terrible and such an achievement stretches credulity to its limits !
More images should appear at lochnessimages.com
The organisers and participants should be congratulated on an exciting day in the Easter Ross town of Dingwall held today. This image was just one of many novel exhibits. More will be placed on lochnessimages.com web site.
I was sitting in the front room when it suddenly went dark, looking out of my Back door this was the reason...... I just caught it as it was coming over. Needless to say its now raining very hard again lol

Forget about Botox.
Forget about expensive make up.
Here's a cheap, painless, simple solution.......
Tomato Ketchup!
The hot dog is an optional extra!
I was tempted to entitle this image ' smoking is good for you' but desisted on the grounds that I know full well it is not.
The West Coast Puffer Vic32, built in 1943, is only very rarely seen in the Moray Firth. Today it cruised to Fort George and using a 500 mm lens with a D700 and tripod I managed to get various shots of it returning under the Kessock Bridge. This bridge facilitates the short journey between Inverness and the Black Isle.
More images of Vic 32 will shortly be posted on www.lochnessimages.com

Taken at the East of England Autumn Show,Peterborough. This years event is on the 12th October..... Anyone fancy a meet up? If so I will try and arrange something. http://www.eastofengland.org.uk/aut_show.htm

Now which way did Dr Dolittle go?
The problem with setting a challenge is that you feel compelled to have a go yourself.
With a self portrait you need to set the focus manually and jump up and down varying the exposure settings. Worse is that if you are by yourself there is no one to make you laugh and smile and relax. After 20 attempts you do begin to laugh at yourself. Maybe the men in white coats will appear shortly. Anyway I have posted the best shot for today as now the light is fading and flash portraits don't seem to succeed for me as the contrast tends to be too harsh.
More of my images may be seen at lochnessimages.com and constructive criticism is welcomed.
I haven't done an image for the challenge yet but will try at the weekend. Here's another very simple image cut to the bone ! More of my images can be viewed at lochnessimages.com

Moo-ving or what?
The suggestion is that over the next few days we try to take a self portrait. Seaside man agrees; and I haven't seen a challenge for a few weeks. Perhaps if anybody finds that difficult they could post a portrait of their pet instead ! There are no prizes with a challenge just the pleasure of exposing your efforts to the blog community. Davidjohn.
I spotted these two whilst on my walk this morning..now what could they be up to?

We haven't had a Summer but today in the garden the Lavatera keeps going and the bees love it.
Lavatera, or, Tree Mallow, is a shrub fully to frost hardy and is so easy to propagate with a 8 inch tip of a branch with the flower removed, push into the ground, and, hey presto, a new shrub.
