Lovely isn't it...nice photo...I've just checked out of the window and ours is as clear as crystal because there's not a cloud in the sky...can't photograph it though because it just comes out as a dot...yours looks a lot bigger??? LOL...GBHs...XX

She appears to be so large because she is low down in the sky as she was just rising. Took this picture about 7.45 I think, so when you saw her it was about an hour and a half late and it would have been dark by then so she would appear very bright and the contrast between her and the dark sky makes it difficult to photograph her clearly I find.

I had another go at about nine thirty and have put the result up here but couldn't get the actual moon to show up because the darn street light came out so brilliantly...but it's the first time I've managed to get the moon when full in a photo...LOL...GBHs...XX

Had a quick look at your site, some interesting ideas and nicely done. ![]()
Thanks for the link.
Didn't find the moon pic though maybe I wasn't looking in the right place?

It looks massive by the side of that tree!

When I was little I used to think if I could climb up into the tree I would be able to touch her.

Aww, what a lovely thought :-)
I just tried to photograph the moon myself, but all my efforts were rubbish :-(

Try late afternoon/ early evening up to the full moon and early morning between 5-8am after full moon, she is lower in the sky and the sky is lighter so it is easier to see the markings on her face clearly.

Thanks, I'll see tomorrow night then (there's no way I'm getting up before 8 again!). But it'll probably be cloudy!

She has that effect on me and some others on here too I think, When she is out and bright and high in the sky I could sit out and chat with her all night.
