The preservation and the destruction

by isasfotos @ Friday, Aug. 08, 2008 - 12:41:53

The other face of Warwick

Warwick is a beautiful little town with many quaint touches as prtrayed in joebangles recent post of the victorian letter box.
When I spotted this phone box it seemed completely out of character with the rest of the town but I suppose every town has its idiots nowadays.

That was the destruction, here's the preservation Warwick-2008-126

and the quirky

Very pretty! Except for the first photo, of course. Yes, there's gotta be idiots everywhere ... *sigh*

It's certainly magnificent from the outside and at over £16 admissionfee I guess it must be equally so on the interior

Love your shot of the castle, never had time to look around as we were only there overnight. The 'phone, happens everywhere, it's a shame, do we really need public phones any more? Must ask that question on the ask or answer blog.

Thanks Joe, Walking down Banbury Road from Myton fields at the edge of town I stumbled on this amazing view of the castle from a bridge, just a minute earlier there had been a boat crew rowing down the river.
I reckon most folk will say that public phones aren't necessary nowadays but I guess there will always be someone somewhere without access to a mobile phone.
