Lovely scene...sea looks very calm as well...GBHs..

The sea has calmed down now - it's been rough for weeks, it seems. I like it rough though :-)

Tom.

I can't remember seeing Bournemouth sea very rough, but then we don't go near it in the winter...even then...we don't get that many seriously windy days and even when it's windy inland, it still doesn't seem to affect the sea much...obviously we've had a lot of windy days here this year, but the cliffs seem to prevent the waves getting very choppy....

Ah, I suppose if the prevailing wind is coming off cliffs that would affect the sea less. Here, it just wails straight off a very long expanse of Atlantic...most of the time. About 1 week in 10, the wind is off the land instead.

Tom.

Many years ago now, Ray and I used to come down to Bournemouth in the winter before and after xmas for me to convalesce and we saw the sea with some waves but never large rollers...we loved our holidays so much down here, it wasn't a difficult choice when we lost the house in London to decide to move down here permanently...and, apart from the last couple of years, it's been lovely weather here when other parts of Britain have been getting much poorer weather...now that seems to have disappeared and we get just as low temperatures as everywhere else...

It might just be a several-year blip in the weather there. The trend across the UK has been upwards for the last three decades and that is supposedly one of the warmest parts of the country.

Tom.

That's why we came on holiday here and in the end moved here...LOL...I really hope it is a blip because cold weather and the rod in my back don't mix well...I literally go as stiff as a board in cold weather...lose all sense of feeling in the majority of my back where the nerves were cut so can only feel that whole area as something alien to the rest of my body...in hot weather all the muscles relax and I can feel them flexing round the rod and get a great feeling of physical freedom...so I'm more than hoping it will come back because of this...

Right, I see your need for hot weather very clearly now, thanks for explaining. I really hope it does warm up again for you.

Thanks very much Jan. It pleases me a great deal that you want this image as your background :-)

The forecast is fine for tomorrow, but by Thursday it's expected to get seriously hot and sunny!

The image reminds me of great times over at my friends... and my future wishes of living by the sea, being able to watch the sunset over the sea (wonderful)

I do hope the forecast is right, this is what I have been waiting for! Time to feel the sun on my face. Happy holidays :-)

Where does your friend live, if you don't mind me asking?

I hope your wishes come true...

She's the one in Barmouth; I've talked about her before. :-)

Must get some shut eye.... and dream of hot hot hot weather, oh yes bring it on (certainly a different mood than last night - I was surfing for a last minute holiday to get me out of the clouds and into the sun) such a worshiper! ;-)
Nite x

You have indeed, and you had that lovely video taken on Barmouth beach with the gorgeous folk music.

Sleep well - I'm away soon too after I've put the rabbit to bed, fed the dog and captured the cat!
