My garden outdoors, downstairs cz i'm on the topfloor
has lots of these flowers; seems they like to live around the seaside!
But aren't smelly flowers anyway when out today i'l check it
now i'm curious, i guess they don't have smell anyway i'l check some and i'l photograph them
And they do a kind of a round cactus you know? I'l photog. it from here upstairs and then downstairs so you see its shape.

Must be hardy if they grow around seaside areas. This one is growing in the bush though.

I'm sure I've seen them growing around the Mediterranean and was looking through my files to find one... failed so far! ![]()
Yes grab some photos Kiki and show us what's growing in your garden.

Kiki seems pretty sure they are unscented... sad for such a pretty thing really.

Yeah, but Roses are like that too now. I love Roses, but it's a shame they don't have a scent anymore.

Too much forcing and mucking about with nature perhaps?
| Doralene [Member] 16/07/08 @ 10:15 |
Yep, reckon that's about it. All beauty and no smell
Not quite right Dora, there are many rose varieties that have a lovely perfume and most growers have realised that their product will not sell without a scent.
I would encourage anyone to avoid buying any variety unless it is scented.
Re your pic, here in Scotland it can be seen in the hot house's at the botanic gardens.

I was just speaking off the cuff trev; I know that some growers take scent into consideration. Not in Aussie land though; most the roses we have here are hybrids.
