This was taken earlier in the week, and is my third attempt at HDR, this I believe is better than the original. But have come to the conclusion that it depends on the picture you have, a landscape with dramatic sky can be made to look stunning, but if you over it looks false and is not a very picture.

I prefer the original. Some detail has been added by the HDR, but it has been over-darkened.

am still not sure about it all, all the shots I have seen seem to have a dramatic sky, but am still trying to get used to it, I certainly won't but the software.

agree with seasideman. The original looks better, although the HDR shows more cloud details.

Hi,
I'm not convinced that this is the best subject for HDR, as the tonality appears to be within normal tonal/ dynamic range.
The last few pix on my blog are HDR and because of the skies in both the angels foot and the castle pic are quite bright the
foreground detail should have vanished.
Try shooting a room with a window in it, make sure the darkest exposure gives detail of the windows view and the lightest exposure gives detail in the shadows.
This scenario should be impossible to photograph normally, with HDR its easy !
PS. The HDR version is still better above if you reduce the saturation you will get a more compatible result.

Certain shots improved by HDR. You got to determine what should and should be not made HDR!!!
