I went into the field to take these pictures and the smell was quite light and fresh. Perhaps the smell increases as the bulbs grow - I'll go back again in a few weeks time.

Well the flowers are only just opening up. I have to drive past this field regularly so I'll keep my nose to the car window!!!!
