I've never seen them grown on such a scale before - they are so eye-catching.

I went into the field to take these pictures and the smell was quite light and fresh. Perhaps the smell increases as the bulbs grow - I'll go back again in a few weeks time.

We have small chive flowers and they let off a whiff of onions already...LOL...great big hugs...

Well the flowers are only just opening up. I have to drive past this field regularly so I'll keep my nose to the car window!!!! :))

I did get some funny looks from passers by when I was scrambling into the field!!!!

ah, too late...they're already thinking that...HLOL...great big hugs...XX Strange I've just a strong whiff of onions and I'm certainly not cooking any...:))
