you are obviously a very patient man. I planted seeds in January and am impatiently waiting for them to flower...

Hi happy, this was a 12 inch plant when I bought it so God only knows how long you will have to wait for seeds to become flowers.

PS Ever so slightly over - exposed ? David Cloudy days are often better for imaging flowers I think !

Thanks David, You are probably right about exposure, got to admit that with this digital camera I tend to put it on automatic, there are exposure settings that I don't really understand.

I did take another later when it was getting dark and used flash but the result was unsatisfactory.

It was over bright petals which made me think over exposed. I don't like been right too often. David.

To happy 28

Seeds are not a reliable method of propagation ;However if you are patient and the seed has been collected from W.floribund you may be lucky. There is a vigorous species ,W.sinensiswhich will grow 40mon either side of the stem this species needs prunig in late September. This is the species seen covering the walls of old tall buildings and may be found climbing trees
if you have a trelis plant W.floribunda as it is less vigorous compared with W.sinensis
Sorry to be a bore but was drawn to the subject by the photo.
On looking at the picture a second time I believe joebangles W to be W. floribunda. Incidentally the plant is named after Professor Caspar Wistar of Pennsylvania University.( late 19th century

I think that you are right, floribunda, the six year old label is now blank.

Can you tell me blackbird, Propagation? When would you take a cutting? What type? Any other tips?
