This seat is about all thats left at the end of pier at Southend, the longest pleasure pier in the world and all there is to show for it is a few seats, there might be pretty but in the end its just a seat.
Of course there is the Coastguard and Life Boat Station there as well, but they are not really tourist attractions.

Is that the same pier they used in the credits of
Minder ?
Looking at the seat I wonder if the shadow of the bench against that wooden floor might make a interesting shot or two.
Just a thought, its a long walk back.
there's a train iof you feel like walking, am not sure about it being in MInder (haven't seen it for years)
