Great shot, Tom. The waves almost look as though they've been painted! Keep up the good work...

Thanks, I've been experimenting with that technique for a while now. It doesn't work very often, but when it does the results are rather pleasing.
Cheers, Tom.

Gorgeous colours and ripples.

Thanks, EthelRed. I know I can do better, as I'm still working out how to get the best from this technique. Typically, the weather has changed now!
Cheers, Tom.

Thanks, I'm pleased it seems to be popular :-)
Cheers, Tom.
Lovely - the colouring is super.

Thankyou. I took about 500 and got 3 decent pictures. That's better than my usual hit-rate, so I'm quite pleased with it.
Cheers, Tom.
You shoot in RAW mate??
Tried a couple, seems like a lot of hassle for now.....
Still learning everything else lol!!
Fantastic shot by the way...

Am loving the waves, may try that myself

I don't really know what shooting in RAW means. I take the pictures, then I upload them - job done! I never fiddle with the pictures afterwards in any way if that's what you mean - the images you see are the ones I snapped with the camera.
Glad you like the waves - I've had to take thousands to get a handful of good ones!
Cheers, Tom.
What camera you using??? DSLR????
If so you can use the RAW format instead of j-peg.
Edit everything afterwards,,,,,
Tis not for me but with the quality of your shots you probably could do wonders!!!!!

I have a 100 quid digital camera, non-SLR, pretty basic. It's a Panaonic Lumix, 7MP. I have been considering a better one though. Do you think I should get a better one?
Tom.
JEEEEEZ!!!! I thought you had a DSLR!!!!
This makes your shots even better!!!!!!
If that is possible!!!!!!!
I broke my last one and went for a Fuji S9600 zoom.
It is a "bridge" canera, basically a step-up from a point and shoot to a DSLR!!!
can do all manual settings etc but a (good) fixed lens, cannot change it like on a DSLR.
Good learning curve,,,,
Learn the settings etc before going "all out"
This pic was taken with the same camera as mine....

GO SEE IT AT CLICK THIS AND SEE NEMO WHAT DONE IT!!!!!!!!

Perhaps I should consider upgrading then. I do currently get frustrated by not being able to alter the settings as much as I would like to. I really should be thinking about getting a DSLR now. Is there one you'd recommend that isn't too pricy?
That's a gorgeous picture.
Thanks for your comments, you have been most helpful.
Cheers, Tom.
I would write a post on here if I was you.
I could not recommend one but I am sure many people on here are knowledgable

I will do that then, thanks for the suggestion.
Cheers, Tom.
