Very nice with only one bloom fully open and the droplets of rain clearly visible ! David.

Yes - I got rained on this afternoon so thought I'd put the rain to good use!
Well you did that beautifully and I got the second line before reading it ! David.

I wonder what you could achieve with a "good" camera!!!!
Using your words not mine instead of a "cheap" one????
All your photos are excellent!! Never seen a "bad" one!! Considered upgrading???
Sorry, just curious!!

Hi Steve - to satisfy your curiosity.
Last September I was bought a Fujifilm "FinePix A900" costing around the £100 mark (including extra memory, battery charger and case!). Prior to this I've only had "point and shoot good enough for holiday snaps" cameras and films would stay in the camera for ages. It would take me forever to take 25 exposures and the results were always disappointing!
Since getting my first digital camera in September I have taken around 1895 shots and have discovered a new interest. Most of my shots are "as they come" apart from an occasional crop. I've experimented a couple of times with black and white and done one "blue" picture of a willow tree.
As for upgrading it's much to soon for me to do that. Finances being one of the considerations - I couldn't contemplate buying another one just yet.
Thank you for your interest and kind comments which are appreciated.
Marian
'Tis amazing what you've achieved in so short a space of time and as Steve says we haven't seen a bad image yet ! David.
PS Remember that windmill at dawn or when there's a sunset. Images of windmills go down well on greetings cards. My first picture to sell was of Ullapool Harbour and the shore with boats pulled up onto the sand to be repainted and I got £150 for the copy right of one print [ it was before the age of digital ] The Medici Card Company in London bought it. That one sale spurred me on to take a course in photography and created my great interest in the subject.
Getting top quality images is a lot harder than most people think !

I'm thoroughly enjoying every minute of it - and it complements my poetry.
Thank you!
