Went to Tilbury Fort today. It is possibly best known for being one of the locations used for the "Sharpe" series.

It is in the middle of an Industrial wasteland though

Sometimes if you want to resolve a problem you just need to look at it from a slightly different angle.

Quality not brilliant but I was "inbetween" cameras after my last one broke. Opened the bedroom curtains one morning and didn't wanna miss capturing this.......

But now as the sun is setting she looks like this

In another hour a more competent photographer will need to capture her image, because try as I might I never get a decent shot of her after dark.

This tug and barge are transporting the rubbish collected from London up the Thames to Rainham and the landfill site, the site is actullay located at a place called Mucking (no pun).

Men rarely grow up !

For many years I wanted a sports car and madly bought this model circa 1970 for £1800 and then watched as it began to rust away [ sitting outside over the winter ]. Fortunately another chap [ who hadn't grown up either ] came along and bought it. I took a Renault Megane Diesel in part exchange !
