I would have wanted one of those great big telephoto lens'es that they use at the football match.

Blimmin heck, I hope for your sake you've got a long end to your zoom
I'm with Trevor, I'd want anything up to the 800mm Sigma for that

I now have a 50 - 500mm sigma lens, it would have been better!

Really, what's it like?
I've used a 70-300 Sigma which was superb and have been looking at both ends ot the spectrum, their fisheyes and extra long zooms.
Said to Usky the other day they seem the best of the third party makers.

They are good manufacturers, it a great lens, the only problem is that is very heavy. 2.8kg I think, so it takes a lot of carrying around!

And I thought I was brave sneaking round the blossom the other week when there were only a dozen or so of them! Mind you mine were wide awake!!

I don't think I would go anyway where near them if they were awake!

That's a remarkable sight. Do you know how long they stayed there for?

Not really, I was only in that area for short while!

I seen swarms but always on the move. Do you think they rested over night before choosing a new home / hive* and were they wild bees ?
* What is the name for a ' hive ' for wild bees ? David.
