New Moderators

Hi there y'all, first I want to say congratulations to everyone for making this a bloody good group. Well done everyone!

OK, so down to business. It seems a little silly that I'm the only moderator of this group. I do check in at least once a day, but more in a lurking capacity. So it makes sense that some of you should be promoted to moderatordom, in order to have full posting options for photo themes, cometitions, etc, as well as the ability to delete any spammy or off-topic posts.

So what I suggest is this. I have picked out the six users that have contributed by far the most to this group in terms of comments and posts. They are AJ, Usksider, davidjohn, la_spice, Esspee and 359Rabbit. Unless anyone has any objections, I can make these six users moderators. Of course if any of you don't want this, just let me know.

What do you all think?

Seeing this has partly arisen from "Charlie's Challenge" perhaps he could be included and provide the "Charlie's Challenge Sticky"?

PS I always try to be constructive with all postings as I've seen the negative effects of over critical judges at two different camera clubs.

It might be a good idea to explain whether moderators can actually remove any undesireable material and if so how [ though I don't expect to see any as everybody so far behaves with complete decorum and shows a lot of creativity ]. David

Well last week I deleted a post from someone who posted a picture of a scantily clad female - all well and good, it was a photograph, but it was acting as some sort of spammy advertising.

So I think inappropriate posts are pretty obvious. Still, don't feel like you have to be the Photo Group Police if you don't want to; just in case I miss something it's nice to know there are others there who can act against spammy posts.

As far as I known, the only BCUK tshirts are in the possession of Rundontwalk - she had a load of them made for the blogmeets last November.

So I think I am the only BCUK team member who actually has a BCUK tshirt! :)
