After we put the word around that we were looking for a tom kitten we were given Simon.
Later renamed "Nomis" but actually she was a miss.
Your pictures – all are welcome.

This picture is about life. There is a "Gate" that when that day comes, we can choose to go through from the life that we now have on this side and to enter the unknown on the other side.
Maybe after loss of a loved one, a health problem, a financial problem, or any reason that tells you that a period of your life is ending and a new period is commencing.
Of course we are a little scared, what lies beyond that "Gate"?
On a Sunday afternoon's drive I saw this tiny Post Office and just had to stop and photograph it !
Please tell me about smaller ones !
This was taken on the Island of South Georgia in 1985, before the age of digital cameras. I have scanned and posted it on here for your views. I have loads of pictures from when I was there but it takes for ever to scan them and some are actually stuck in with double sided selloptape (I know I’m a bit of plonker sometimes).
I do wish I could go back with the equipment I have now.

This photo is taken from a post card and date stamped 24th August 1907.
The park was developed in the late 19th century in response to the increasing population density of Glasgow in general, and the South Side in particular, with the growth of tenement housing supplying the increased demand for middle-class homes. Victorian Glasgow took the provision of open spaces extremely seriously, with the result that parks such as Queen's Park sprang up across the city. From various points of the park, it is possible to view the full expanse of Glasgow in a given direction.
The same view 100 years on.
Here is a photography tip from me. When visiting tourist spots, watch other people to see where they are aiming their cameras!
A few years ago at Fountains Abbey, I noticed a man aiming his camera towards a window arch. I waited for him to take his photo and walk away, then I went to see for myself and took this picture

I used my old Canon SLR film camera for this one.
Another thought I have at tourist spots is that I must be appearing unwittingly in other people's photos. There must be albums, memory cards and computers all over the world showing tourist attractions with me and my family and friends wandering somewhere in the view.
...after Usky and Gil both posted photos played with in Photoshop so lets try a couple of mine...
Take a seat - Watercolour...
Flower Fresco...
Original...
With a little Photoshop filtration...
Any views?

This is burned into a tree beside the east bank of the River Taff... it translates as seat of the river (I think!).
The question is... is it art?
Am not sure if this is a moth or a butterfly, any help would be appreciated, unfortunately my knowledge of entomology is limited?
