Today I've been busy gardening but I wasn't alone.
I've posted this second picture to show you the fruits of his labour.
Just see the fullness of the pollen sacs on his hind legs.
Brilliant, what fabulous colours, a really good picture. Really well done!

It's the best insect [ bee I suppose ] that I've seen for a very long time. It is unbelievably sharp. The sacs are very clearly defined and the blossom out weeks ahead of that here.

I was surrounded by them! But they seemed too busy to bother me - thank goodness.
I'm glad I managed to capture the pollen sacs.

Thank you - there's an orchard just in front of my house so I only had to step out of my garden.

Please try macro on the bees but don't get stung ! From 6 or so inches away your nose may be a target. David.

Freshly caught today - if you look at my "half-cut" posting you can just see the white blossom tree in the top right of the shot. There are two white blossom trees and a pink one but the pink one is in tight bud. I'll get that one in a week or two.
I might post a couple more shots later.

Thank you - I nearly didn't take them as I've been told how difficult it is to photo white objects!
