Focus
Just a quick line to let you know that the UK's best photographic show takes place at the NEC
next Sunday, Mon, Tue & Wed. "Focus on Imaging" is a trade show that any photo enthusiast would enjoy.
Take your credit card ! ( on second thoughts don't )
Southend Sunset
I took this one earlier this evening, I just straightend the horizon.

Ghostly Ship !
This image is of a theatre ship which sailed down the Caledonian Canal, through Loch Ness and tied up in the Muirtown Marina then put on entertainment for children before sailing away to the West again. Its not been seen here again.
Click on it to enlarge.
Ghostly Cyclist !
Stimulated by La_Spice's haunted Castle I thought to post my ghostly Cyclist image .
Artist at Work
On a trip to London last September there were several artists painting outside in mild weather conditions. This was probably near the Embankment.
Other images taken on the trip may be seen on my web site.
Sepia
I took these this morning converted them to black and white and addded a speia affect. It makes them look like an old post card.
Things aren't always as they seem!
A genuine watercolour.....
......or just an illusion?

Newbie
Hi all -
I just came across this group after just joining this blog website today. I was looking for somewhere where i could view photography for inspiration and also post my own to get some feedback. I have literally had my Nikon Digi cam for 2 weeks so i'm very amature. Have only had your basic digi cams before that. I have just got this new cam for my 21st. Comments are more than welcome and i don't mind complete honesty, i am very new to this.
Thanks all

A Saturday afternoon musical
CAMELOT!
Also showing: Saturday Night Fever; Paint Your Wagon; and Casablanca
Same Place, Same Camera....
Read in a magazine just to simply take the shot from 2 angles ( or more ) can produce 2 totally different images.......
At the moment I have a thing about alleys ( and shadows )
lol!!!
I am just starting with the photography thing and feel a bit I dunno sad/geeky taking a pic of what someone else may think "why are they taking a picture of THAT???"
Beer was once my "crutch" but I am replacing that with my new hobby, photography ![]()
Hence some shots are rushed maybe never taken.
I am sure I will soon adapt an attitude of " I wanna take a shot of this and I do not care what you think I may never see you again"
May I just mention while I am here that this Photography Group blog has given me the opportunity to see other peoples images I would never have seen.
And the chance to post some of my stuff to be seen too!!
Like I said I am just learning and any feedback/criticism is wholly taken on board and very much appreciated ![]()
Where was I??
Oh yes, two pics, same place, same camera, 30 seconds apart.......
Wondering whether to do one/both in monochrome???
Ramsgate Harbour
A cloudy dull day but I had the camera and took these anyway!

Red Rocket
This is an architectural feature on the college in Southend on Sea, it was taken a few back now, but I do like the abstract aspect and colour.
Rabbit
Pier Sunset
This is the longest pleasure pier in the world, the problem is, it keeps burning down, eventually it will the shortest in the world. Good colours though, don’t you think!
