Am not sure what this flower is called, however, I do like the detail and colour.
The stamen of a Tulip, I was practising my camera’s macro ability, this was my favourite after a number of attempts.

I like those - they are nice and sharp (and vibrant)
I have not done anything with the macro setting on my computer, I like those so I may try. Flowers are a little thin on the ground at the mo.

I quite often play with macro... lots of fun and you can get some stunning results.

I like these too, the yellow one especially is beautifully focused.
I often use the macro button. I find it easier on shots like these with one flower dominating the photo. I find it hard to focus on clumps of flowers like snowdrops and crocci. Sometimes the camera focuses on the soil or foliage, not the flowers and manual focus is a bit of a fiddle.

Thanks for you comments, I have to admit that I must have taken, 20 or 25 pictures before I got these, I have a sigma 50mm macros lens for my canon camera, I used a tripod but it still hard work to the focus right, but I think well worth the effort.

My digital camera, albeit just a compact one, is Canon, and so is my old SLR film camera. If I upgrade to a digital SLR, I'd probably go for Canon again.
